Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

  1. General Requirements

The minimum standard requirements of IMJSSEM (International Multidisciplinary Journal of Social Sciences, Education, and Management) must be

  1. Written in Malay, Indonesian or English.
  2. The length of the submitted paper is at least 11 pages and no more than 15 pages. Editors will evaluate if a paper is needing more than 15 pages.
  3. Use of a tool such as Zotero or Mendeley for reference management and formatting and choose American Psychological Association (APA) 7Ed year 2019.
  4. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the IMJSSEM (International Multidisciplinary Journal of Social Sciences, Education, and Management) template

 

  1. Structure of The Paper
    The paper must be prepared and suggested present follow the structure:
  • Title
    The title of the paper should describe research aims, method/model, and objective, without Acronym or abbreviation
  • Abstract
    The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results. The abstract should end with a comment on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion. Abstract is written preferably not more than 200 words.
  • Keywords
    Add at least one and up to five keywords to your article. Keywords will allow your article to be more easily searchable when published

 

  1. Section structure

Authors are suggested to present their articles in the section structure:
-  Introduction

In Introduction, Authors should state the objectives of the work at the end of introduction section. Before the objective, Authors should provide an adequate background, and very short literature survey in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show   what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

 

- Method

Materials and methods should make readers be able to reproduce the experiment. Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described. Do not repeat the details of established methods.

 

-Participants

State how many participants in the study. Explain the participants’ criteria to be included in the study. Explain the demographic information of the participants, such as the age, occupation, and any other  related variables.

 

-Intruments

Describe the instruments examined in the study. Inform to the readers whose theory used, how many dimensions/aspects/items. Depict the procedure of scoring.

 

-Data Collection

Write the procedure of data collection, what method used, and mention if there’s any software/tools applied.

 

-Data Analysis

Explain how the data are analyzed. You may state the method and step of data analysis clearly. Please mention the software used.

- Results and Discussion
Results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.


- Conclusion
Conclusion should answer the objectives of research. Tells how your work advances the field from the present state of knowledge.

- Acknowledgments
Express your appreciation regarding all the parties involved in the research (if any)


- References
The references list contains all references in the text derived from sources that are relevant with the theme/discussion. The number of references should be at least 10 in total, and 80% of which should be from primary source publications (journals) from the last 10 years. The reference in IMJSSEM (International Multidisciplinary Journal of Social Sciences, Education, and Management) refers to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7Ed year 2019. It is recommended to to use reference manager, e.g. MENDELEY, ZOTERO, etc.

 

  1. Reviewing of manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers with a double-blind review. The Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendations. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within four weeks of the submission date.

 

  1. Revision of manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to the editorial office through the Online Submission Interface (M PUBLISH JOURNAL).  The revised manuscripts returned later than three weeks will be considered as new submissions.

  1. Guideline for Online Submission

An author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the following address: https://mpublishjournal.com/index.php/imjssem/user/register  

 

The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicks on the “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to an online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start, a New Submission section, click on “’ Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  • Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  • Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click the Upload button.
  • Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including a marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords and authors must include an active phone number.
  • Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on the Upload button.
  • Step 5 – Confirming the Submission: The author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Equilibrium journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, the Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors can track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.

 

  1. Management Software

Every manuscript sent in the IMJSSEM journal other than reviewed, in the preparation of both the quotation and reference is expected to use supporting software such as Mendeley, Endnotes, Zotero, Grammarly, and others. but also checking similarity so that the quality and originality of the article can be accounted for using Turnitin software with a maximum limit of 25% similarity.
